XII Apostel Koln

Great place, and very convenient. The staff were very nice and accommodating and the location is great for walking and site seeing. the hotel restaurant served excellent dishes as well as vegan, which was convenient for My Wife. The room was clean and a nice size. We will definitely come back.

We visited this restaurant for lunch while passing through Cologne to Austria and it was good. The restaurant is located at the heart of the square and had plenty of seating. It was also pet friendly. The menu in the form of a newspaper was a first for me and shows the variety of mainly Italian food they served. We had pizza which was a lunchtime special with soups and the pricing was very reasonable. The staff were very helpful and kudos for finding butter for us. Highly recommended!

The food is DELICIOUS but the service is AWESOME! In an Italian restaurant you expect to be served by “mama”… It was a big disappointment, the waitress made AU AU (like a dog) sound when we ordered a well-done meat and refused to take a starter order after we had ordered our main courses. The manager apologized… The food is really good.

The location is amazing. Tons of people out and about. Walking around and playing music in the square. The food here is good. Lots of options and everyone was able to find something they wanted to try. The service was ok. It was really busy so understandably the servers were busy but they seemed less than thrilled to be there. Not rude but not nice either.

March 2023 Very nice restaurant with quite a large menu printed in the style of a newspaper which is a nice touch. Beer was good and waiter was ok, I would use again. Seems I was correct, I visited again March 2025, it was even better, and the waiter was very helpful, suggesting great dishes. We will be back.

Nice and casual Italian restaurant at a good location in Köln! Service and food is overall at a good level. Menu is Italian dominated with various pasta, also typical restaurant meals like steaks and even a selection of pizzas. Overall the food tastes good and has good quality. I would define this as a very nice option, not necessarily high end, but a place that really fits anything between casual dining, business dinners and also good for families. Interior is quite large and I know this place is popular among groups that go to trade fairs in the city etc. Easy to get a table which also fits larger groups as well as there are smaller options.

So impressed with this place! We weren't looking for an Italian restaurant but we were happy to find a place with seats available. Service was very quick and the atmosphere was close and charming. My husband enjoyed a kolsh and I had a fruit beer. I ordered pasta which was delicious. My husband had one of the pizzas and he said it was the best pizza he's ever had. I would recommend this place and we would absolutely come back.

The XII Apostel salad and the Tiramisu were absolutely delishes
